In August 2015, Molson Coors UK, one of the country’s biggest brewers, sold its brewing equipment at the William Worthington Brewery, to Planning Solutions Limited. This allowed Planning Solutions Limited to form The Heritage Brewing Company.
The Rempstone Estate, situated on Dorset’s Isle of Purbeck, close to Corfe Castle and Studland Bay, had for many years been operating a successful 130 pitch tented holiday campsite. The Estate initially asked PSL for suggestions on how to improve the profitability of the existing tented site – but PSL quickly identified that the real potential of this beautiful location lay with the development of luxury forest holiday lodges. PS Consulting Ltd undertook the initial research and business evaluation to demonstrate the potential of this £3.5m development to the Estate Trustees.
In autumn 2015, Planning Solutions Ltd won a competitive tender, organised by Maidstone Borough Council, to manage their Kent Life attraction for a period of ten years.
CONKERS, Leicestershire is an environmentally themed visitor centre at the heart of The National Forest in the East Midlands, which is operated by Planning Solutions Limited on behalf of the National Forest Company.
In October 2015 PSL acquired the 72 bedroom “Royal Esplanade Hotel” in Ryde on the Isle of Wight, from Shearing’s Hotels division. After an extensive refurbishment programme, PSL will market and operate this historic listed hotel itself, offering business travellers and tourists an excellent accommodation base, in the heart of Ryde, with restaurant facilities and new function and conference spaces.
Vertigo Adventures High and Low Ropes is one of our newest adventure leisure experiences managed by Planning Solutions Limited, and has been a great pleasure in working with the council to bring this about.
Planning Solutions have been managing CONKERS, an environmentally themed visitor attraction, on behalf of The National Forest Charitable Trust, since 2001. Planning Solutions researched a variety of product development opportunities and concluded that a High & Low Aerial Adventure Course would provide the exciting experience necessary to attract these new audiences – and provide a positive return on investment. The new product was also sufficiently different to the traditional CONKERS’ offer that, it was felt it could be charged for as a separate ‘add on adventure’ in addition to the standard day visit ticket price.
