The brewery is situated just twenty yards from the historic Burton Bridge over the River Trent, from which it takes its name. The brewery operates from the rear of the 17th-century Fox & Goose pub which was renamed the Burton Bridge Inn in 1982. The founders combined their extensive industry experience to create a microbrewery that championed traditional brewing methods during a time of industry consolidation.
Burton Bridge Brewery quickly gained acclaim for its cask bitters and pale ales, contributing to the early development of what is now recognized as golden ale and won hundreds of awards over the last 4 decades.
With a handover of old hands training new hands the best techniques, the Burton Bridge Brewery has given notice to all award bodies of its ambitious trajectory in the coming years.
An ambitious plan to double its brewing capacity is underway, which will enable the brand to grow from strength to strength and supply more clients both locally and nationwide.
